Exciting and cutting edge contemporary art by local and international artists coming to
a downtown storefront near YOU!
Artcite Inc., Windsor's artist-run centre for the contemporary arts, is proud to host the
third annual Visual Fringe Festival. In partnership with downtown merchants and venue
sponsors, we will be placing art in a wide range of storefront, in-store and available-for-
rent retail spaces. Artcite continues its partnership with Windsor's International Fringe
Festival and Actors Theatre of Windsor, to present "Visual Fringe 2010".
Artists from Windsor and surrounding areas, including the Detroit area, will exhibit their
art work in non-traditional, easily accessible venues.
FREE ADMISSION. Fun for the whole family. A perfect opportunity to take a walk
downtown, and see exciting new art in local businesses and store windows.
Programs include storefront exhibits featuring sculptural installations, photographs,
drawings, paintings, artist made toys; mini galleries, performance art, Guerilla lawn
(street) Bowling, Printhouse/ Denial Y!Art Sale (July 24) and a walking tour!
The Visual Fringe provides an excellent opportunity for Fringe Festival visitors and the
general public to see new works by numerous emerging and established artists in an
accessible, fun (non-gallery) setting!
