AMHERSTBURG -- The works of Jane Barlow are now on exhibit at the Gibson Gallery.
Barlow's exhibit, entitled "Finishing Touches", will be on display at the gallery until Sunday, May 18. Barlow has held exhibits at the Gibson Gallery before, but not for several years - she has exhibited locally in 1974 and in 1983.
This exhibit - which features "all kinds of subjects" including landscapes and outdoor scenes - is a collection of watercolours, oils and collages from recent years.
Barlow estimates there are approximately 35 works in her exhibit. She noted her prior appearances at the Gibson Gallery and said this exhibit came about through a conversation with the gallery's head of exhibitions Barrie Brewin.

Barlow has been painting for roughly 65 years, starting when she was 16-years-old. Her work includes scenes she has painted during her life which has been spent in Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec as well as the Windsor area.
"I haven't done any for a long time," said Barlow of exhibitions.
"This is the first show I've done in about 10 years."
The Gibson Gallery is located at 140 Richmond St. and is open from Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
